What should I have ready for a progressive order?
Start with a current eyeglass prescription. It should show the prescribed values for each eye and an ADD value if progressive lenses were prescribed. Have your PD available. LAKOH may need separate right and left PD values or other fitting measurements after you choose a frame. Do not guess or calculate any number.

OD is the right eye. OS is the left eye. Check that both rows are clear.
SPH
Copy the number and its + or – sign exactly.
CYL / AXIS
Copy both exactly when shown.
ADD

Fit
Fitting height is not a prescription value. It depends on the frame, lens design and how the frame sits.

A contact lens prescription uses different measurements and should not be copied into a glasses order.

PD is separate
PD may not appear on every prescription. Online glasses orders still need a pupil-distance measurement.

Frame fit matters
Lens height on a product page is not the same as your personal fitting height.
LAKOH may need more information after you choose a frame and lens. Requirements depend on the prescription, lens design and frame. Contact LAKOH before payment if ADD, PD, prism or fitting information is unclear.

What information do I need to order progressive lenses?
Have a current eyeglass prescription with values for both eyes and the ADD value if progressives were prescribed. Have your measured PD available. LAKOH will confirm whether your frame and lens choice needs separate right and left PD values or other fitting information.
Can I order progressives if ADD is missing?
Do not guess or calculate ADD. Ask the clinic that issued the prescription whether it is complete for progressive lenses. You can ask LAKOH what order fields it requires.
Is PD part of my prescription?
PD may be separate from the prescription. In the U.S., the FTC says some states require PD on the prescription, but the measurement is needed to fit glasses. If it is missing, ask for it or follow LAKOH’s approved measurement process.
Can I use my contact lens prescription?
No. Contact lens and eyeglass prescriptions are not interchangeable. Use a current eyeglass prescription for glasses.
Does a certain prescription strength mean I need progressives?
No single prescription strength automatically means you need progressive lenses. They are used when an eye care professional prescribes correction for more than one distance, often shown by an ADD value.
Does a taller lens always make a frame better for progressives?
No. Product lens height is only one frame measurement. Your prescription, lens design and how the frame sits on your face also matter.
Can LAKOH change or renew my prescription?
No. LAKOH can help with product and order questions. An eye care professional must provide, renew or change a prescription.
