Find a comfortable fit

No single frame shape is best for everyone. Start with a pair that fits you well, then compare these 5 things.

CheckWhat to look for
Frame widthA close match to a pair that fits you well. The frame should not squeeze your head.
Nose fitA steady fit without pinching or sliding. Check the bridge and nose pads.
ArmsNo tight pressure at your temples or behind your ears. Compare the arm length.
Frame weightListed grams are for the frame only. Lenses add weight to the finished pair.
Fit in useLook down and smile. Check that the frame stays in place and does not press on your cheeks.

A lighter frame may suit your preference, but it still needs to fit. A try-on photo shows the style; it cannot confirm your fit.

Order in 4 steps

  1. Choose a frame and color. Compare its size with a pair that fits you well.
  2. Open Select Lenses. Choose Reading.
  3. Enter your reading strength and PD. Continue, then choose Reader and your lens options.
  4. Review your order. Check the frame, lenses, entered values and total price before checkout.

PD is the distance between your pupils. Use the measurement requested for your lenses. Read about distance and near PD.

Choose your reading strength

Use the reading strength recommended for your usual reading distance. If you are unsure which number to enter, ask your eye-care professional.

Have astigmatism or different powers in each eye? Use the prescription lens route.

Questions about women's readers

Are these ready-made reading glasses?
You choose a frame and add your reading lenses. The listed price is for the frame; your full price appears as you choose lenses.
Which reading strength should I choose?
Use a reading power confirmed for you and your normal reading distance. Do not choose only by age, and do not assume a stronger number is better. If you are unsure, ask your eye-care professional before ordering.
Is my ADD number the same as my reading strength?
ADD is extra power added to a distance prescription for near vision. Ask your prescriber to confirm the reading strength to enter.
Which strengths can I order?
Select a frame, choose Select Lenses, then open Reading to see the current choices. Check the menu for your chosen frame. A listed strength is an ordering option, not a recommendation for your eyes.
What if I have astigmatism or different powers in each eye?
Use the prescription lens route and enter the values for each eye, including CYL and AXIS where shown. A single reading-strength selection does not capture all of those values. See what the prescription terms mean.
Can I use reading glasses for distance vision?
Standard reading lenses are made for near work. They are not a substitute for distance correction. If you need help at more than one distance, ask which lens design fits your prescription and daily tasks.
Does the listed weight include lenses?
No. The weight on each product page is for the frame only. Your finished glasses also include the weight of your chosen lenses. Use frame weight as one comparison point, along with size and fit.
Are reading lenses included in the listed price?
No. Product prices are for the frame. Choose your color and reading lenses to see the full price. Lens options cost extra, and frame prices may vary by color. Check the total before checkout.
